Everyone Asked About You

Everyone Asked About You were an emo band from Little Rock, AR. They had a female vocalist which made their music even more pretty. Really great music and the lyrics are good as well. I wish this band had made more music, and apparently they had an LP which was never released.

The Kossabone Red

from last.fm: The Kossabone Red were an Atlanta, Georgia band that existed from 1996 to 1998. Sonically, The Kossabone Red were a good mixture of Cap’n Jazz-inspired emo and catchy spastic hardcore. Members went on or have been in bands such bands as Portrait, Some Soviet Station, The Paper Lions, Electrosleep International, and Airoes.

Their only album was a Self-Titled CD/LP put out by Conspiracy Records. This LP is the only record left in print by the band. They also released two 7”, one on Ripcord (1997) and one on Insurance scam (1996).

Definitely lots of cap'n jazz sound here, tons of energy and sloppy instrumentation. I'd recommend starting with the LP, it is my personal favorite, and the 7"s have a different sound to them.

For Serious This Time

For Serious This Time is an indie rock band from New York. They play catchy, sometimes jammy songs with cool vocal melodies that will get stuck in your head for days. This is their first release as a full band, and it is fantastic, especially the track "No Snow."

No info on this band at all. Dark emo band that released one 7" and a split 7" with a band called Sore Loser. Seriously some of the best screamo that I've ever heard. D-Wing one off of the split is so intense, especially when the second guitar line comes in with that two note riff. Was never able to find Sore Loser's side of the split, oh well.

Once again, there is no info on this band, except for the fact that they were together during the 90's and from Illinois. They played sweet emo jams similar to My Favorite Citizen, Boys Life, and Christie Front Drive. There's a male and a female vocalist and which sounds really cool. Sometimes they scream a bit too which is interesting. Unfortunately they only have 7 songs. Evergreen Trio, who they did a split with, is also a very good band, but I think they only have the songs on the split.
